I know not everyone will or should become an author; but that doesn’t mean that has to include you. I believe everyone has the ability to share a message, their knowledge, expertise or simply encouragement and book writing is an avenue to consider doing so.
So, if this is a desire for you then I want to share 5 reasons that will motivate you from dream to action:
1) Becoming an author boosts your confidence: Think about it, anytime we accomplish something big in our lives, it increases our confidence. It is a pusher, when we make a goal and we achieve it, there is a sense of joy that comes when you complete a task. So stop thinking about others and do it for you. You’ve had this desire too long, just do it (like Nike)!

2) You are leaving a legacy with the world: There is a generation coming after you that will be blessed by what you write. Think about the many books we’ve read that blesses us and impacted our life. What if Myles Munroe kept all that God-given wisdom to himself? What if David didn’t record his experiences? There is simply so much you can share, so write the book and leave a godly and positive impact in the world.

3) You will be able to bless people you might never be able to meet: Writing a book will allow your message to get to people you would normally not be able to connect with. Books send ideas to places where you would never reach.

4) It can be used to launch a business or build credibility in your career: Whether you desire to be an entrepreneur or you’re simply a career professional, a book will build your credibility to be seen as an expert in the area you desire to dominate in. It’s not about being the best comparing to everyone else; it’s about sharing your unique perspective to the added knowledge that already exists.
5) You can earn extra funds: let’s not kid ourselves; everyone wants to earn a little money in this economically challenging time. If you can share your passion and gift with the world and monetize it; what a blessing that would be.

Remember, God has given you His Spirit that equips you to be the best He has called you to be.
