A survivor of domestic child abuse who grew up in a Christian home where there was no love, being accustomed to being punished by being folded in a foetal position and locked in a dark cupboard between the ages of 6-14 years old, suffering two near death experiences, valium pills being forced down my throat by my father who refused to believe the doctors prognosis that I was stable mentally and a mild nervous breakdown at 17 years old, when the pain in my heart became too unbearable and I started searching for love in the arms of men from the age of 14 years old but found no solace, I turned to my life over to God and surrendered all.
One would never believe that this battered, bruised and broken- hearted girl would rise to one day become a purpose driven woman of God, wife, mother and entrepreneur who within 6 months of my book release was featured on National Television twice, to include the highly acclaimed “Religious HardTalk aired on TVJ”, National & International Radio, National Newspaper and Change Your Narrative Blog Feature and receiving glowing reviews from readers as far away as New Zealand, Australia and The UK.
Today my mind sometimes slips back to the memory of a little 6 year old girl who cried herself to sleep on many occasions wondering how did she survive and live to rise above all of the challenges life threw her way to become the woman she is today leading the charge in creating a positive impact in the world as she empowers others to birth and monetize their dreams.
Who could it be but JESUS?!!! My whispered prayers through my tears, heartache and pain were heard by the Almighty God and answered. To God I give all the glory!
